Champagne Direct stocks the very best selection of the world famous Dom Pérignon Champagne.
When Father Pierre Pérignon took over as cellar master at the Benedictine Abbey of Hautvillers in 1668, his avowed goal was "to make the best wine in the world". For a young monk just 30 years old, it took a visionary spirit and exceptional audacity to pursue such lofty ambitions.
More than three centuries later, the House of Dom Pérignon perpetuates the visionary approach of its founder, widely considered the spiritual father of Champagne. Each new vintage is a unique creative act, reinventing the extraordinary style of a wine that only the Chef de Cave may declare a "vintage year".
The unique personality of Dom Pérignon is born of this creative commitment.
Our current portfolio includes Dom Pérignon 2006,Dom Pérignon 2005, Dom Pérignon 2004, Dom Pérignon Rose 2003 and limited edition releases of Dom Pérignon Oenotheque, P2 and P3 wines which have undergone extra ageing in cellars.
Summer 2014 saw the UK launch of Dom Pérignon P2 1998 which marks an end of the Oenotheque range and the first in the new 'second plenitude' series. The plenitude concept is a series of stages during a wine’s development on its lees that produces ‘windows of opportunity or plenitudes’ which, once the wine is disgorged, can represent different expressions of the same vintage.
