Terms & Conditions
We will not sell to anyone who is under the age of 18. By placing an order you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. We reserve the right not to dispatch an order if we are unsure of this.
All prices are inclusive of VAT. The price of products on the website does not include the delivery charge. The delivery rates are displayed in the Delivery section of the website.
2. Minimum Orders
Purchases on the ChampagneDirect.co.uk website are subject to a £10.00 minimum spend (excluding delivery charges).
All products are offered subject to availability. Should a product be unavailable we will advise you as soon as possible. We cannot guarantee the availability of specific vintages.
Orders placed on the website before 5:00pm Monday to Friday are processed the same day. If any items are out of stock we will contact you by email or telephone.
We process orders on a standard delivery (3 to 5 working days) or Express (1 to 3 working days) service for deliveries to addresses in Mainland UK (England, Wales and Scotland).
Delivery on any particular date is not guaranteed.
Free delivery is available for orders over £500.00 addressed to a Mainland UK address (excluding Scottish Highlands).
Orders to the Scottish Highlands, the Scottish Isles, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands and the Republic of Ireland are processed on a special delivery service. There is a surcharge for deliveries to these locations which may take up to 2 Working Days. We do not process orders to PO Box or BFPO addresses.
All deliveries are made Monday to Friday during business hours except where the Saturday delivery service has been selected. Orders will be dispatched with a Packing Note confirming the products dispatched. This will constitute your Proof of Delivery.
For successful delivery you must ensure there will be someone over 18 years of age at the delivery address to sign for your order. Our couriers may also attempt delivery to a neighbouring property. In such instances a calling card should be left at the delivery address confirming where the order has been delivered. Alternatively the delivery company may send email/SMS-text notification advising delivery to neighbour.
If delivery of your order is not successful the order will be returned to the courier's local depot. A calling card will be left by the courier company with their contact details to arrange re-delivery. Orders will be attempted for delivery on up to two separate occasions before being returned to the courier's local depot for customer collection.
Orders will be returned to our Returns Department if they have not been collected from the courier's local depot. Returned orders will be processed for a refund of the value of the product(s) ordered less the cost of returning the order.
5. Payment Methods
You can pay online by debit or credit card using the following cards: Visa Debit, Visa Credit, MasterCard, American Express and Switch/Maestro.
Payment by BACS/CHAPS transfer is available. Details are available from the Corporate Orders team.
You can cancel your order at any time until 14 days after delivery. You will be responsible for returning the order to us at your own cost.
The order must arrive back with our Returns Department unopened and undamaged in its original packaging within 14 days of cancellation.
To cancel your order you will need to email Customer Services on firstname.lastname@example.org. You will then be sent a Returns Number which must be clearly marked on the outside of the package(s) being returned. Orders which are returned without a Returns Number will not be accepted.
Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receiving the goods back.
7. Product Information
We endeavour to advertise our products accurately. However we cannot guarantee the accuracy of information provided on our website about products, such as photographs, images and descriptions of the products. Vintage years specified for wines and spirits cannot be guaranteed, as due to the very nature of these products they are of limited supply for any vintage year.
We will provide a full refund of any products that are faulty. We must be notified of faulty products within 2 working days of delivery. We may require the faulty items to be returned to us and will arrange this as necessary.
You are responsible for checking your order on delivery. If there are any damaged items please ensure they are clearly marked on the courier's paperwork.
We will not be able to accept any claims which have not been reported to us by email within 24 hours of delivery.
11. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of England.
