Sun rays and a ribbon alternating the Veuve Clicquot logo and Simon's signature bridge the worlds of couture and champagne.

    La Grande Dame honors Madame Clicquot's groundbreaking vision with a blend that features 90% Pinot Noir, her favorite grape variety.

    She wrote: "Our black grapes give the finest white wines."

    Following in Madame Clicquot's footsteps, today's Cellar Master carries the flame to perpetuate her intuition, finetuning the balance and tension between selected Pinot Noirs to achieve the unique oenological signature of La Grande Dame: elegance and precision.

    Vintage 2018:
    Now, in this 25th vintage of the cuvée, discover the expression of a centuries-old craftsmanship and an unprecedented year, offering a maturity of grapes close to perfection. From a harvest when the sun was truly smiling.

    La Grande Dame 2018 showcases the Pinot Noir grape, which comprises 90% of the blend, staying true to Madame Clicquot's vision: 'Our black grapes make the finest white wines.' Deep and precise, the 2018 vintage stands out as one of the most exceptional harvests in recent years.

    The 2018 season presented contrasting conditions: a particularly wet winter followed by a long, hot, and sunny summer. These conditions yielded a harvest of exceptional quality, the resulting wines achieve a perfect balance of freshness and aromatic complexity.

    The 2018 vintage is especially noteworthy for Pinot Noir. The red grapes attained excellent phenolic maturity, leading to wines with impressive structure, depth, and complexity. These Pinot Noir wines promise excellent aging potential, boasting well-developed tannins and a harmonious balance of flavours.
