    NBA Season 4: 
    To mark a fourth successful year of collaboration with the NBA, Hennessy has created a limited-edition bottle release of its V.S cognac that celebrates the grassroots of basketball.

    Inspired by the game's humble beginnings, the design of the bottle label and gift box is an artistic nod to the asphalt streets and cracked concrete surfaces where basketball was first played. It's a cool addition to the NBA series and a wonderful gift for fans of the game (and of the cognac).

    Tasting Notes:
    Hennessy VS is "the reference cognac". Scents of vanilla, hint of red berries followed by lighter notes of hazelnuts as well as floral notes.

    A blend of around 40 different "eaux-de-vie" selected for their vivacity from the best growing areas of the Cognac region.

    In 1865 Maurice Hennessy, the great grandson of the Founder, Richard Hennessy, was the first to systematically classify cognacs. Inspired by a decorative star symbol on his office window, he awarded a varying number of stars to designate the different quality levels. Thus was born the House of Hennessy's first Three Star Cognac, better known as V.S (Very Special). This grading system was soon adopted by the rest of the trade.

    Hennessy V.S is versatile. It can be enjoyed neat or on the rocks but it's also ideal mixed or in cocktails.

    Background Information:
    In 1765, Irish aristocrat Richard Hennessy, who had been serving in the French forces, founded an eaux-de-vie trading business in Cognac. Under his son, James, the company expanded rapidly and the name Hennessy has been interlinked with the history of cognac ever since. Today, Hennessy is the uncontested leader in cognac, selling 50 million bottles a year around the world. Its V.S, V.S.O.P, Privilège, X.O, Paradis and Richard Hennessy are the pillars in a range of products that are both benchmarks of excellence in the world of cognacs and icons of refinement and luxury.

    This success is far from simply fortuitous, reflecting an unyielding focus on quality. What's more, the talents of seven generations of cellar-masters from the Fillioux family have enabled Hennessy to constitute the most remarkable reserves of rare eaux-de-vie in the world.
