    Introduction:
    Named after the original founder of the maison, Dom Ruinart Rosé is Ruinart's prestige rosé cuvée, crafted from grapes grown in the grand cru vineyards of the Côte des Blancs and Montagne de Reims.
     
    Dom Ruinart Rosé encapsulates a balance one would believe to be impossible: a classic, yet velvety style of Champagne: Intense, delicate and aromatic, all at once.

    Dom Ruinart Rosé is always a unique blend. Composed of 80% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Noir vinified as red wine, it has the character of a « blanc de blancs rosé ». Don't be misled into thinking that the high proportion of red wine means this wine has a deep colour.

    The cellar master vinifies the Pinot Noir, not looking for colour or tannins, but for aroma. Dom Ruinart Rosé is undoubtedly one of the most delicately aromatic rosés in existence.

    This constantly classic Champagne is defined by its layers of minerals laced with smoke. A pink Champagne does not evolve at the same tempo as red wines of the same age. Flavours of the East draw you in with their complexity of exotic spices. Refined wild sea rose and a hint of dried rose petals hover on the surface of the Champagne and unfurl on the palate.
      
    Tasting Notes:
    Dom Ruinart Rosé 2007 is a beautiful pink colour, with hints of copper, the 2007 vintage offers warm, sunny aromas and flavours of ripe citrus edged with roasted coffee and cocoa bean.
    Its exceptional complexity will only develop with age.
     
    Food Pairing:
    This fine rosé champagne is based on the Chardonnay Grand cru and will accompany both a seafood theme (salmon tataki, marinated tuna, etc.) and a turf-based dish (poultry and veal in particular). With several years of additional ageing, it will pair with the same ingredients but with more intense, spicier and warmer flavours.

    Background Information:
    The Ruinart House was officially created on 1st September 1729 by Nicolas Ruinart, a bold entrepreneur. In penning the founding document, he was realising the dream of his uncle, the Benedictine monk Dom Thierry Ruinart, to make Ruinart the first Champagne House. Down the centuries the House has always fostered a culture of excellence, as embodied by the fundamental values of authenticity, openness, refinement and quality.

    This quest for perfection is particularly illustrated by the predominance of the Chardonnay grape, which is included in the composition of the whole Ruinart range and of the prestigious Dom Ruinart champagnes, flowing through them and enhancing them like a golden thread. The Chardonnay illuminates all these wines, exalting their brilliance and creating the particular fluidity that makes them so distinctive. These qualities have perpetuated Ruinart's culture and style over the years, making it today the aesthete of champagne that is recognised the world over.
