Henri Macquart founded the Centre Vinicole de la Champagne in 1972 as a storage and vinification unit to serve winegrowers, federated around cooperative or individual wine presses.
The Nicolas Feuillatte brand stems from the Centre Vinicole - Champagne Nicolas Feuillatte (CV – CNF) and is the oldest union of producers of champagne. It comprises 82 winemaking co-operatives representing more than 5000 vineyards and situated on a hill in the commune of Chouilly and overlooks the community of Epernay.
Nicolas Feuillatte created his brand in 1976, after inheriting a vineyard near Reims, the Domaine de Bouleuse. Purchased in 1986 by the Centre Vinicole de la Champagne, the brand has continued to grow. Nicolas Feuillatte is one of the largest champagne brands with more than 9 million bottles sod in 2008.
Champagne Nicolas Feuillatte is an exception in a world where the leading brands have built their image and reputation on a history of more than a hundred years.
Nicolas Feuillatte remains the brand’s ambassador in France and around the world.
